Joanna Brown, Founder
I have always been interested in the relationship between our inner lives and the wider world around us.
I am drawn to the places where personal experience, relationships, community, justice, environment and meaning meet.
My professional background has moved through journalism, social ecology, community development, youth wellbeing, restorative justice, disaster recovery, facilitation, coaching. and reflective practice.
I’m the author Living Sensitive, and support sensitive people to thrive in a complex world. I support women and men navigating life transitions - life and work balance, parenthood, relationships, menopause and sacred callings.
Across all fields, the thread has stayed the same -supporting people to make sense of complexity, to find their own voice, and to create more balanced and compassionate ways of moving forward.
I hold a Master of Applied Science in Social Ecology and a Diploma of Transpersonal Coaching. I have also trained extensively in facilitation, conflict resolution and community-based practice. My work has included many years in local government and community organisations, with a strong focus on community resilience, social connection, disaster recovery and community-led change.
I am interested in the deeper human questions that sit beneath practical decisions - Who am I now? What matters most? What am I outgrowing? How do I live and work with more honesty and integrity?
My approach is reflective, intuitive, grounded and practical. I bring warmth, depth, clear boundaries and a strong respect for each person’s lived experience. I see people as whole, capable and a part of by the wider systems we live and work within.
With You brings together my lived experience, professional practice and long-standing interest in human development, social ecology and the possibility of meaningful change. It is a space for people, groups and organisations who want to slow down, understand what is happening at a deeper level, and move forward with greater clarity, self-trust and compassion.
